National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.
The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.
Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.
Reconciliation in Australia is about building respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian community. At its core, it focuses on strengthening trust, understanding and shared respect, for the benefit of all Australians.
An important part of allowing Reconciliation to progress is truth telling, encouraging an understanding of our history and the significant injustices experienced by First Nations peoples, including dispossession, discrimination and ongoing inequality. Reconciliation recognises this history and seeks to address its impacts by promoting equality, respect and opportunity.
Importantly, reconciliation is an ongoing, collective effort that requires individuals, organisations and communities to act. This includes improving cultural awareness, supporting First Nations self-determination, and creating systems and workplaces that are inclusive and equitable.
Frameworks such as Reconciliation Australia’s Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) provide a practical way for organisations to contribute.Developed by Reconciliation Australia, RAPs are structured around three core pillars: relationships, respect and opportunities. They help organisations turn intent into measurable action and contribute to meaningful, long-term change.
At ENM Solutions, we recognise that reconciliation is a shared responsibility and an important part of building a more inclusive Australia. Having long been a supporter of Reconciliation, we are proud to cement our commitment and take the first steps in commencing work on our own Reflect RAP.
Reflect RAPs are about building a strong foundation. This includes increasing cultural awareness within our organisation, developing respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, and identifying where we can contribute meaningfully within our sphere of influence.
We understand that meaningful action starts internally. Early steps taken by our team include incorporating Acknowledgement of Country practices, celebrating National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week, and exploring opportunities to engage with First Nations businesses and partners.
While we are at the beginning of our reconciliation journey, our commitment is clear. Through our RAP, we aim to learn, reflect and take practical steps that contribute to lasting, positive outcomes, both within our organisation and across the communities we work in.
